IPRC KARONGIis located in Western Province of Rwanda. This province is divided into the districts of Karongi, Nyabihu, Rubavu, Rusizi, Ngororero, Nyamasheke, and Rutsiro. IPRC WEST lies on the shores of Lake Kivu, about halfway down the lake between Rubavu and Rusizi precisely in Karongi District in the former ETO KIBUYE. There are five integrated polytechnic centers of this kind in Rwanda scattered in four provinces and Kigali City. In addition to that an integrated polytechnic center has also a mandate of supervising allTechnical Secondary Schools and Vocational Training Centers in respective province and Kigali City.
