Kigali, 25th July, 2016- The Victoria Parliamentary delegation led by Bruce Atkinson paid a courtesy call to the Ministry of Infrastructure and other government institutions in Rwanda.

The delegation was received by the Ministers of State in the Ministry of Infrastructure, Dr. Alexis Nzahabwanimana in charge of Transport and Germaine Kamayirese in charge of Energy and Water.

The delegation members exchanged views on issues of common interest such as strengthening economic ties, establishing links in terms of infrastructure development, obtaining an understanding of Rwanda’s political, economic and social situation and also discussed cooperation within the multilateral system.

The Ministry presented the infrastructure image before and after the 1994 Genocide against Tutsi and current investment opportunities in energy, water and sanitation, housing and urban planning and transport sectors.

The delegation commended the Ministers of State for warm hospitality and pledged cooperation for partnering Rwanda in terms of implementing Ministry set goals and objectives in some core infrastructure projects in the near future.
