Rwanda Transport Development Agency (RTDA)

Rwanda Transport Development Agency (RTDA) is a Government institution affiliated to the Ministry of Infrastructure. RTDA is governed by the law N°02/2010 of 20/01/2010 Establishing Rwanda Transport Development Agency (RTDA) and determining its mission, structure and functioning. 

The main functions of RTDA includemanaging and controlling national road network with a view to achieving road safety and maintenance, manage and control waterways transport infrastructure with a view of ensuring their value added and to develop railway infrastructure in Rwanda among others. 

In accordance with the Public Transport Policy and Strategy for Rwanda approved by the Cabinet in October 2012,  RTDA shall also be responsable of promoting the transport services for persons and goods in the country.
