RwandAir offers 15% discount to 27th African Union Summit delegates

Currently, RwandAir has a fleet of 8 aircrafts

As more than 3,000 high-level delegates are expected to be in attendance at the 27th African Union Summit, scheduled to start on 10th -18th July 2016 in Kigali, the national airline, RwandAir has announced a major discount of 15 % for the summit delegates.

In order to enjoy the discount, delegates will be required to prove that their travel is for the conference and they will also be required to book and pay for their tickets by the 8th of July 2016. Their travel dates must be between the 05th of July 2016 and the 23rd of July 2016.

Patrick Manzi, the Senior Manager in-charge of promotions and development at RwandAir said the discount is designed to facilitate delegates with most convenient and safest means of travel.

To take advantage of the offer Manzi said a delegate should visit the nearest RwandAir office to reserve and pay for the flight before the 08th of July 2016.  He added that a delegate has to produce an official conference invitation letter and personal identification documents to RwandAir in order to help ascertain that he/she is travelling for the summit. “ Once cleared based on 2 above criteria, RwandAir office will create a reservation and issue ticket upon receipt of the applicable fare” Said Manzi.

According to RwandAir, delegates are advised to take special note that the discount will be applied strictly as set above; reservations must be created and ticketed before the 08th of July 2016. Discount will not be applicable for reservations created after 08th of July 2016; RwandAir’s regular ticketing timelines will apply for delegates booking in advance.

The RwandAir office making the reservation will advise on any such ticketing timelines and all travel must be completed by the 23rd of July 2016.

Presently, the airline flies to more than 17 destinations, including Nairobi, Entebbe, Mombasa, Bujumbura, Lusaka, Juba, Douala, Dar-es-salaam, Kilimanjaro, Johannesburg, Dubai, Lagos, Libreville and Brazzaville, among others.
