Funded by the Government of Rwanda through LODA, the construction contract was awarded to “HORIZON CONSTRUCTION Ltd” and the Supervision of the works to DESIGN CONSTRUCTION COMPANY Ltd. The contract amounts are 978, 855,261 FRW for works and 9.900.000FRW for supervision. The contract amount for the works increased to 1,118,995,656 FRW (14.3%) after revising the Bills of Quantities of the project and incorporating additional works.
A carefully review by the ASSETIP’s team of the amendment of a total amount of 130,000,000 Frw proposed and agreed on by the contractor and the supervisor, has resulted to a decrease of 70.000.000 Frw; ie more than 50% of the proposed amount. .
By the end of March 2016, the progress of the construction works is at 92%.
