In its social infrastructure development program, KAMONYI District launched the construction project of KARAMA Health Centre. Funded by the GoR through LODA, the construction contract was entrusted to ECOME Ltd for the amount of 449,587,500 FRW and the supervision to MJ TRUST COMPANY LTD for the amount of and 3,600,000 FRW.
The project consisted of construction of a Health Centre of the Main block, hospitalization block, nutritional block, house for accommodation of the health Centre Team Leader, outdoor latrines, landscaping (fence, parking, gardening).
The starting date was 23/12/2014 for duration of 7 months. The construction works was completed in September 2015.
In accordance to tasks assigned to ASSETIP and in order to properly manage public funds, a revision of bill of quantities was made, after which a saving of 45,000,000 Frw was realised. A portion of this amount has been used for complementary works and the balance will be kept by the District.
