Infrastructure Minister visits Nyagatare District

Hon.Minister of Infrastructure pays visit to Nyagatare District.

26th January, 2015-The Minister of Infrastructure Honorable James Musoni visited Nyagatare District, where he urged the residents to maximize and maintain the strategic and infrastructural opportunities available to achieve more and have ownership of infrastructure projects.

The Government of Rwanda is putting efforts to increase the agricultural production and activities in the area, access to electricity, improved road network, and housing programs, extension of clean water and sanitation facilities to homes, health centers and schools for improved hygiene and good health.

Hon. James Musoni asked citizens to avoid corruption and they were reminded the importance of security in preserving progress made to date and set free from poverty.

"Services are your right, not a favor from leaders. You should not accept corruption in exchange for services you deserve. We should all play our role in fighting corruption. “He added.

“We have moved away from vague politics defined by division and lies. We look forward to building a strong foundation, giving every Rwandan access to health, education and ensuring food security. We aim to preserve our dignity, and working together to achieve our common goal."

The Minister of Infrastructure concluded by urging residents to continue the spirit of hard working to transform the nation’s vision of economy.

The Minister was accompanied by Governor of Eastern Province, Mrs. Odette Uwamariya and other officials including Members of Parliament, security organs, and local leaders among others.
