The National Gender and Family Cluster (NGFC)

Rwanda has ratified a number of key international conventions, charters and human rights instruments that aimed at accelerating progress toward gender equality, family welfare and protection of children rights. For successful translation of all policies, and to coordinate cooperation between government, development partners, the civil society and the private sector the National Gender and Family Cluster (NGFC) was officially instituted on March 28th, 2018.

The main object of NGFC is to strengthen coordination mechanisms to support MIGEPROF  and other National Gender Machinery institutions to promote gender equality, family promotion, and child rights promotion and protection, as well as to utilize partner efforts to improve interventions, synergize and avoid duplication. If you wish to learn more about the NGFC, we encourage you to read the NGFC guidelines.
