The Road Maintenance Fund (RMF) is an institution established by the law No.52 bis/2006 of 12/12/2007, determining the attributions,structureand functioning of the Road maintenance fund (RMF).

Road Maintenance Fund is affiliated to the Ministry of Infrastructure. The institution is mandated to ensure collection and funding for the maintenance of road networks in Rwanda.

The particular attributions of RMF are to collect and effectively manage funds for road maintenance, to collaborate with other relevant organs in preparation of road maintenance programs to be funded by RMF, to examine project studies and the bidding documents for road maintenance before launching tenders and to monitor the activities in technical terms and finance disbursed in order to ensure that activities are carried out as planned in the signed contract.
